TO DISCUSS CASE OF
MAHOMET ALLUM
Meeting in Town Hall
The Adelaide Town Hall has been
booked for the night of Thursday, Feb
ruary 6, for a meeting, the subject of
which has been submitted to the town
hall authorities as "a public discussion
of the case of MIahomet Allum."
In the Adelaide Police Court last
week Allum was fined £45 for a breach
of the Medical Practitioners' Act. It is
now reported to be unlikely that Allum
will appeal to the Supreme Court
against the decision.
The booking of the town hall has
been made by Adelaide representatives
of the Natural Health Society of Aus
tralasia, which. claims to be interested
in a revision of the law to sanction the
operations of herbalists. masseurs, and
allied practitioners.
Mr. F. G. Roberts. of Adelaide. is
travelling secretary of the society.
Edward Arthur Wren. formerly of
Collingwood. brother of Mr. John
Wren. of Kew, left estate valued at
£52.467. consisting of £45,042 realty
and £7,425 personalty, states a mes
sage from Melbourne. His ivill was
lodged today for probate.
