    The hand which the Federal Government acquired at Keswick in 1910 on which to place building for the State Military Headquarters staff, and foro parade ground and other purposes, is now to be utilised and tenders are being invited by the Superintendent of Public Buildings for the crection of a building of which the above picture shows the proposed front elevation. In this building the District Headquarters staff will be accommodated. At present the Military Headquarters are in selbourne Chambers but the temporary offices there will be abandoned when the new place is ready for occupation. The land has a frontage to the Bay-road, immediately on the west of the Keswick railway station on the Hills line, and it is proposed to have a railway siding or sidings when the scheme is completed.
