    ARIEL SIX-HOURS TRIAL: COMPETITORS AT THE WATER SPLASH. Krischock, photos. Of the 65 competitors who entered in Saturday's Ariel six-hours reliability trial, only 32 completed the course in the specified time. Recognized as the hardest trial of the year, Saturday's event caught many competitors at a disadvantage in the observed water splashes at Coromandel Valley, and in the notorious section along the Razorback Range, running between Ash ton and Montacute. As a final tit-bit, competitors had to ford the Torrens at Torrensford in the night. This necessitated covering 70 yards of fairly deep water. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
