    BUSY shipbuilding yards at Newcastle-on-Tyne turn out two new ships for trade in Australasian waters. The new passenger ship Maori, 8,000 tons, slides down the slipway after having been launched (see picture below) by Princess Margaret. It is for service between Wellington and Lyttelton.
