    When the Allies entered Belgium they found (as they had done in other centres occupied by the Nazis) definite evidence of torture inflicted on civilians by the Gestapo in an endeavour to extort incriminating information from its unfortunate victims. In the first picture below Flying Officer B. Yuffy, of the Royal Canadian Air Force, is seen taking notes of the experiences of one victim, Francoise Dorsaghers, of Brussels, who spent four days in the cell shown, charged with transporting arms from France.
