UNDERGROUND MAIL RAILWAY. — "Times," photos. A new tube railway has been completed for the use of the London Post-office. It is the first of its kind in the world. There are 6½ miles of tube, and the driverless trains attain a speed of 35 miles an hour. The average load carried is 23,000 mail bags daily. The railway relieves street congestion to the extent of 1,300 van m'los a day. In the first picture officials are seen removing bags from a slow-moving conveyor to be placed on the train.
