    CHARCOAL BURNING AT CARROW. Every year hundreds, probably thousands, of tons of firewood are destroyed by farmers because it does not pay them to send it to the metropolis. The settlers at Port Neill, on Eyre Peninsula, however, Lave discovered a profitable use for the malee stumps taken from their land. They convert them into charcoal, which is dispatched to Wallaroo.
