They attacked the British to the north-east of Lens, and were repulsed, with heavy losses. They attacked the French between Lens and Arras and south of Arras, but appear to have missed the British at Albert, and to have attacked the French on a wide front to the north and south of the Somme River. They have captured a village called Frise, on the banks of the Somme, and still hold it; but at most other points where they seized trenches they have been driven out. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
