  3. A CROWING FINISH TO AN ANGLING SEASON

    This large brown trout was caught at the northern end of the Great Lake on Monday by Major McIntyre, of Launceston. The fish ( a female) is a particularly fine specimen of the Salmo fario and was on view at messrs. W. Hart and Sons yesterday. It measured 32½ inches in length. had a girth of 21 inches. and Weighed 20lb. and is the largest killed at the Great Lake since 1907, when a 23lb. fish was taken by Mr. N. J. Wise.
