    The subject of this beautiful illustration is situated at the foot of the Buffalo Mountains, on the eastern slope, about six miles from the township of Bright, Victoria. The Ladies' Bath Falls are so named from the fact that during Summer time ladies frequently bath in the pool at the foot of the small fall seen in the illustration, protecting themselves from the intrusion of visitors by posting a sentinel at some distance away.
