  3. SNOW AT BATHURST.

    During the recent cold spell Bathurst was visited by the greated fall of snow ever known in the district. It began about 8 a. m. on June 22, and it continued to descend till well on in the afternoon, covering the buildings, parks, gardens and streets. At dinner time the footpaths were from 8in deep in snow, which pedestriaus, especially young people returning from school, found it difficult to make their way through. Business was practically suspended and traffic was almost stopped the roadways being partially blocked. The whole day was spent in snowballing all passers-by without respect to persons.
