    Bismarck's Life at Varzin was a curious medley of work and pleasure. When he was in power, the telegraph line with Berlin was constantly in work, and, whilst attending to important; dlspatches, he would be interrupted by the gardener to ask his opinion as to the best kind of garden seeds, or by the mason with some plan of alterations.
