  4. TEACHERS' COLLEGE TEAMS FOR INTERSTATE CONTESTS.

    All the teams have now been selected to represent the Teachers' Training College in the forthcoming contests with Melbourne, Sydney, and Claremont (W.A.). The athletic and football games will take place on the Adelaide Oval, the tennis on the showgrounds, basketball on the college court, and hockey on the Jubilee Oval. The Claremont hockey and tennis teams will arrive on Friday night by the East-West express, the Sydney contingents by "the Broken Hill express on Saturday morning, and Melbourne representatives the same morning. The visitors will number about 130, and the contests will begin on Monday next and finish on Friday. The football team will engage Melbourne, the hockey players will meet Melbourne, Sydney anil Claremont teams, and the basket ball teams will have as their rivals Melbourne aud Sydney. ...
