  3. "THE ARGUS" DELIVERED BY AEROPLANE TO RIVERINA TOWNS.

    Some residents of the Tocumwal district travelled 30 miles to attend Aviation Day, held at Tocumwal yesterday, to mark the inauguration of the Murray Valley air service. A special feature was the delivery of "The Argus," copies of which reached Tocumwal more than four and a half hours earlier than when delivered by train. The Illustration on the left shows a section of the crowd which met the Love Bird when it reached Tocumwal at a quarter to 8 o'clock in the morning. In the illustration on the right Mr. Frank Neale, who flew the Love Bird to Tocumwal, is seen handing a copy of "The Argus" to a mail-boy soon after the aeroplane arrived. Supplies of "The Argus" were also delivered by the Sun Bird and the Love Bird to Rochester and Echuca (V.), and to Berrigan, Finley, Jerilderie, and Urana (N.S.W.).
