    The Railway Advertising Department, in the face of antagonistic public opinion, is persisting in erecting hoardings on the property at the coiner of Bridge and Stirling streets, adjoining die Quickens Protection Society premises. A few months ago the City Council, at a cost of approximately $130. planted an attractive lawn and gardens, making the site a most pleasing one to the passers-by.
