  4. FIRST TOC H LAMP IN AUSTRALIA.

    An impressive ceremony took place in the Newcastle (N.S.W.) Cathedral on Wednesday night, when the first Australian Toc H lamp was lighted. It had been desired that the lamp, the gift of Lord Forster, formerly Governor-General, in memory of his two sons who were klllod in the war, should be lighted by the present Governor-General (Lord Stonehaven). In the absence of Lord Stonehaven through illness, however, the ceremony was performed by Mr. Bavin, M.L.A. (N.S.W.). The illustration shows the lamp from which all other Toc H. lamps and rushlights throughout Australia will be lighted.     After making a record voyage of 53 hours to Melbourne from Hobart, the schooner Rahra (93 tons) ran aground in the mud in Little Dock yesterday afternoon.
