    Group Captain Williams, who is to make a flight from Sydney to Samoa, tested his seaplane on Saturday afternoon and unfortunately met with a slight accident when taxi-ing to the slipway after the trial. A gust of wind caught the seaplane and swung the tall round, so that the machine ran into the jetty before it could be checked. The photograph reproduced above was taken a moment before the impact. Mechanics afterwards swam cut to the seaplane and fastened a rope to the tall to guide it to the slipway. The photograph shows one man holding up another while swimming in deep water.
