    The committee of engineers which was appointed to adjudicate in the competition for designs for the Spencer street bridge repoitcd yesterday to the Public Works department. The first prize of £750 was awarded to a dosign for a three-span concrete bridge submitted by Messrs. Edward Saunders and Alan Wilson, engineers, and Messrs. Alfred R. La Gerche and W. E.
