    This fine panorama shows the main "ctironin"block of the Mont Park mental cases hospital. Foundations far an asylum were originally laid by the Bent Government, but when the Defence Department found Itself pressed for hospital accommodation in 1917 it took over the property and constructed No. 16 Australian General Hospital, at a cost of about £100,000, for wounded cases. After its vacation as a general hospital, repatriation mental cases have been housed in blocks No. II-and No, 12 (on the extreme right), while blocks No. I, No. 2, and part of No. 3 (extreme left) are already accommodating some civil Insane cases.
