  4. Who Are They?

    This is a reproduction of a mystery picture of the war years. It was found behind a bookcase four yeors ago when "The Western Mail" shifted from its old quarters to Newspaper House. Since then, hanging on the wall in "Non-Com's" office, it has been the subject of a great deol of comment by ex-service visitors and many and various have been the opinions expressed as to where it was taken the what unit it depicts. These details were entered originally on a typewritten slip in the right bottom corner, but the ink has faded completely. The Christmas "billies" on the table indicate that the parade was a muster at Christmas, probably 1916, and both infantry and light horse ore represented among the personnel.
