    Out of 321 entrants, Miss Thelma Crowther, of Car'ton, was chosen as the winner of a competition conducted by the Broadcasting Company of Australia (3LO) as the most beautiful Melbourne bride to be married during September. She was given a large number of val able wedding presents which were offered by the wireless company and numerous business houses, and a fortnight's honeymoon trip to Launceston (Tas.) by the Launceston 50,000 League.
