    The little village of Oberammergau, Bavaria, huddled beneath the frowning peak of the Kofel Mountain, has quickened to new life, aided by an injection of one million West marks (about £60,000 sterling) from the American Military Government of Bavaria, to stage in 1950 its decennial Passion Play.
