    What might be termed a monster trophy condition is the contest set down for to-day (Saturday), to be held under the auspices of the Perth 18-footer Sailing Club. All the eighteens on the register, with their respective skippers and crews, are to compete for sixteen valuable trophies. Hitherto this club has always provided large cash prizes, amounting to about £10 per race, and these have greatly assisted 18-footer boatowners to maintain their handsome craft but for to-day the committee have wisely allocated some expensive prizes for skipper and crews in addition to those for first, second, and third place.
