    The above photographs show an unmanageable horse being shod in a crush. This crush is simple and effective, and is said to be the only contrivance in Western Australia by which a horse can be shod without danger of accident to the horse or to the blacksmith doing the shoeing. The horse is led into the crush, and his head secured. He is then strapped over the wither, and over the rump to prevent him rearing or kicking. Three straps are placed underneath the horse, and he is raised off his feet by a [?]a? wiuch. He is thus rendered utterly powerless. The crush is the property of Mr. D.
