  3. TWO VIEWS OF THE FREMANTLE EXHIBITION.

    The law and varied number of exhibits were arranged in a tasteful manner. The usual sections in exhibitions of the character were well filled. Special mention must be made of the quantity and quality of the lace and fancy work displayed. One small piece of point lace was loaned, and valued at £12. In the educational section the exhibits of map-drawing and handwriting were numerous, and manifested much care on the part of the youthful competitors. The cookery department was part cularly excellent, cakes and other delicacies sent in displaying on the part of the exhibitors much proficiency in the culinary, art.
