Fine and cool, with a fresh breeze, conditions could hardly have been more favourable for the Hobart Cup meeting to-day, and there was a large attendance. The laws and running track were fresh and green. With eight races, owing to a division of the Trial Handicap, the programme was so long for a Cup Day that there was a tendency for it to drag, but otherwise everything went off well. ...
