    Nine persons, including a motorman, were injured on July 16 when an elevated train crashed into the rear of a steel subway train at 206th street and Jerome avenue, New York, demolishing two cars. The elevated train consisted of seven wooden cars. The impact drove the first car half-through the metal car at the rear of the subway train and the second elevated telescoped the one ahead of it.
