    AGILITY AND CAUTION ARE THE FEATURES OF THIS REMARKABLE PHOTOGRAPH, snapped by a staff photographer when Oldfield, the Australian wicketkeeper, made a flying leap alter a high return, from Richardson. The ball, shown in flight, passed well above his head but not before Sutcliffe had caught sight of the quick return. Crouching low, the batsman scampered home with his left hand shielding his head against a possible blow from the ball, Oldfield could not get his hands to it, and the batsmen ran two for the overthrow.
