A party of post and telegraph officials from Tasmania arrived in Sydney on March 30 for the purpose of spending a holiday in this State. The Sydney Post and Telegraph Cricket Club had arranged an interesting and full programme of social functions, sports, and trips, including a visit to the Blue Mountains, for the entertainment of the visitors, who will remain in New South Wales until April 12, when they will take their departure for the Island State. The first of a series of cricket matches, which the visitors are to play while here, took place at the Rushcutter's Bay Oval on March 31. The Tasmanians scored 127 runs, and their opponents, which was a team representative of Country and Suburbs, had scored 72 runs for the loss of six wickets when the match had to be abandoned owing to bad light.
