The pictures on this page show the men who responded to the appeal for recruits made by Captain Carmichael, M.C., M.L.A., being transformed from civilians into soldiers at Liverpool Camp, near Sydney. The illustrations are of such a character that no explanation of what they represent is needed. It is sufficient to say that the men have undergone training of a nature that will stand them in good stead when they meet the enemy.
