    GOV, a lioness at Israel’s Haifa Zoo, underwent a CT (or CAT) scan at Haifa’s Rambam hospital this week. Gov was referred to the hospital after zoo veterinarians suspected that her skull was not developing properly due to a deficiency in vitamin A, which is quite often found to be lacking in lions in captivity. Gov was anaesthetised and taken to the CT, while her picture was taken by photographers to be printed and broadcast around the world.
