    In addition to having caused many thousands of pounds worth of damage to crops in the Campion area and surrounding districts, emus are responsible for smashing forces. Usually they strain the wires in their mod dashes, but in this case an emu caused a motor truck to do the damage. Travelling beside the rabbit-proof fence at over 30 miles an hour, with the truck following, the emu faltered and went under the wheels.
