    Above (inset), workmen chop away the great trees that crashed across the Government House gates. The collapse of the shelter over the basement parking place in Castlereagh Street is shown. Several cars were damaged. At bottom right, just one of the many flower stalls in Martin Place shattered by the storm. Part of the roof of Patrick's Wharf, at the foot of Bathurst Street, Darling Harbor, was blown over to the railway line, as shown above.
