Advertising : 8 wordsLIKE A BOLT FROM THE BLUE a 20ft. plank fell from a crane sling on a building under construction in Elizabeth Street (top left) yesterday, and pierced a motor truck standing below. The driver, Colin Taylor, was sitting in the driver's seat at the time, and the pole brushed his hat in its terrific flight. Afterwards Taylor could afford to smile (bottom right), but. "Shiver my timbers!" might have been his expression as death missed him by two inches. It was one of the most extraordinary accidents on record. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
