    THE DANDENONG RANGES, 25 MILES AWAY, BROUGHT TO THE FRINGE OF THE CITY: A remarkable example of long locus infra red photography obtained by a staff photographer from the roof of The Herald building in Flinders Street. The picture, which was secured in brilliant sunshine, while a haze was obscuring objects in the distance, was taken with a 40-inch telescopic lens, to which was fitted a specially-designed filter.
