    THE AUSTRALIAN SQUADRON CARRYING OUT TORPEDO EXERCISES: The three pictures show different phases in the exercise. Left: H.M.A.S, Australia, while steaming at high speed, discharges a torpedo from one of her tubes at the "enemy." The torpedo leaves the tube at 10 knots. Centre: After its run, the torpedo conies to the surface and is retrieved by a boat's crew from the destroyer Anzac. Right: The boat returns to the ship, where the torpedo is hoisted on board again.
