    With the present popularity of buckjumping contests at shows and bushmen's carnivals, it is interesting to note that according to a correspondent's letter to the editor in this issue, he wrote 40 years ago to the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland (Toowoomba), offering to give a prize for the best buckjumper rider, but the offer was refused.
