    An outsize job in road transport was recently performed by Lennox Pty. Ltd., of Alexandria, in carrying this 86’ 0“ 15-ton steel column from Sydney to Melbourne. This is one of the longest loads moved by road between the two capitals. The vessel is a stabiliser column, built by Bernard-Smith (Pty.) Ltd., of Alexandria, for the Geelong Refinery of The Shell Oil Company of Australia Limited. It is four feet in diameter and of ½” wall thickness, and is designed to operate under pressure. ...
