  4. SOLVING THE KING'S CROSS PROBLEM.

    This interesting attempt at an original solution for the problem of traffic congestion at Kings Cross was published in “Construction” on May 2nd, 1945. It was prepared by Francis G. Hood, architect, in association with Mrs. Florence Taylor. A feature of this scheme is that through traffic is carried on a subway under King's Cross Road. If desired, the latter street could be widened and an open strip down the centre provide natural ventilation new and modern type blocks of flats fronting the widened street.
