GERMAN PLACE NAMES in the Honae of Assembly on Tuesday, the Premier announced that he was taking up the matter of restoring certain German place names of historic nine. The Government, however, would not do anything in the matter, he said, until they knew that the majority of the residents in the towns affected desired a change. It is understood that Ambleside and Tweedvale will revert to-their former names of Hahndorf and Lobethal respectively.
