    The vastness of last week's flooding can easily be gauged from this excellent photograph of the junction of Rankin, Lachlan, and Dowling Streets. Taken on the Sunday afternoon, it shows the Olympic Pool almost completely under water, and, immediately above the grandstand end is Breaden's partly completed building, which collapsed on Sunday night. The strong current down Lawler Avenue can easily be seen. Note the truck at the corner of Johnson and Farrand Streets (lower left corner). ... [ILLUSTRATED]
