    A WELL-KNOWN LANDMARK OX THE QUEENSLAND COAST—CAPE CAPRICORN. Capo Capricorn, on the ocean side of Curtis Island, which form the outer rampart of Keppel Bay, by reason of its prominence, offers an ideal site for a lighthouse, both as a warning to mariners against approaching too close to danger and as a guide to the harbour of Rockhampton.
