The third anniversary of the declaration of war was marked in Adelaide by solemn and stirring observances in the churches on Saturday and Sunday. At St. Peter's Cathedral on Sunday morning there was a requiem celebration, and in the afternoon an official service was held. It was of a quiet but impressive tone, and marked by great patriotic dignity. The building was crowded, and the subdued light from the brilliant sunshine that filtered through the stained glass windows and touched the flags with a warmth of colour bathed the scene in an atmosphere of sad beauty.
