    This photograph of the South Australian Scouts at Epping Forest was sent to Mrs. J. H. Finlayson, of Glen. Osmond, by Mr. Arthur Black, General Secretary of t be Shaftesbury Society and Ragged School Union, and she has courteously sent it to The Observer for reproduction. The scouts were present as helpers to a party of 1,000 Last-End poor children and teachers from mission schools.   4. PRINCE ALFRED COLLEGE SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL.

    The fine new wing which has been erected at a cost of £18,000 at Prince Alfred College to commemorate the service and sacrifice of collegians in the Great War—800 enlisted and 116 made the supreme sacrifice—was opened on Saturday afternoon by the Lord Mayor (Mr. C.
