    Darwin which is destined to play so important a part as a port when the North South Transcontinental Railway Line is completed, has come into worldwide prominence lately by reason of the epoch-making flight of Cant. Roes Smith, and to a lesser degree on account of the "revolution." This fine panoramic view shows the coast from Stokes's Hill to the jetty,where, at spring tides, there is a rise and fall of upward of 28 ft. The photograph was kindly lent by (Mr. Alfred Searcy. Fannie Bay Gaol, close to where the aeroplane landed. This is four miles from Darwin. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
