  2. MAGNIFICENT PRODUCTS AI THE ROYAL AUTUMN SHOW.

    The Royal Autumn Show—which was confined solely to indoor exhibits in the Exhibition Hall on March 2 and 3—was an educative fixture from a gardening point of view. The display of fruit, flowers, and vegetables was a feature of the event. Our composite shows:—(1) The Mount Barker Agricultural Bureau exhibit, which gained first prize in the District Competition; (2) A remarkably fine assortment of named varieties of fruit from the Mylor Type Orchard which is controlled by the Botanic Garden Board of Governors; (3) First prize collection of vegetables, shown by W. E. Halleday; (4) The best single ro[?] exhibited by Mrs. A. Wilkin-inson; (5) C. F. Newman & Son's prizewinning basket of flowers; (6) E. Gordon's first prize glad[?] ... [ILLUSTRATED]
