The Kagu, a native bird of New Caledonia provides contrasting studies in these two photographs obtained at Hollis Brothers Aviaries, Capalaba. On the left the Kagu appears quite tame, but the picture on the right illustrates the remarkable behaviour of this bird when frightened.
