    There was a remarkably comprehensive d isplay of flowers at the South Australian Horticultural and Floricultural Society's spring show at the Jubilee Exhibition on Saturday, October 19, and, generally speaking, the standard of quality was par ticularly gratifying. Our composite shows—1 and 3, the champion H.P. (Robert D uncan) and H.T. or T. (Maman Crochet) roses, grown by Mr. J. G. Balfour; 2, Mr E. V. Fisher's champion bunch of sweet p eas (Marie Cheslyn); 4, Mr. Fisher's winning collection of cut flowers (24 vases); a nd 5, Mr. S. A. Doman's champion carnation (seedling show). ... [ILLUSTRATED]

  4. MILLBROOK RESERVOIR.

    There is a magnificent sheet of water in the recently constructed Millbrook reservoir. This storage basin will hold no leas than 3,647,000,000 gallons, or more water than is contained in the Happy Valley, Hope Valley, and Thornden Park rcservo irs combined.
