    Associated Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd.'s mills at South Burnie, which are approching completion, and are expected to go into production before the end of the year. Approximately 1,000ft. in length and up to 220ft. in width, the main mill is one of the largest single-storey factory buildings in the Commonwealth. The picture, which was taken from the hill to the south of the mill shows the 100,00-gallon concrete water tower in the right foreground. This is 70ft. in the air, and will give the wafer, of which 3,000,000 gallons will be used daily, its working head. To the left of the tower is the water purification plant, where the water from the Emu River will be treated before use for pulp making.
