WRECK OF THE SCHOONER THURAKA.—The topsail schooner Thuraka, 248 tons, which struck a submerged reef in the channel between Cape Bruny light and Recherche Bay, when bound from Hobart, and sank within an hour. The 10 members of the crew were saved, and before the vessel settled down, they were able to save a few personal belongings. They were brought to Hobart by the s.s. Gundiah.
